Part Time Substitute Educator (Vancouver School District) – Right At School

Educator pay range: $17.25-$19.25 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule:

Monday-Friday after school only, must be available all 5 days. After School Shift: 2:30pm-6pm, Monday through Friday.

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Using coursework training and in-person training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Maintain excellent communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure safety and engagement of all children.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Respect for and dedication to working with children with special needs.
• A love for children.
• Bilingual:
  Mandarin & English.

• Proof of High School diploma/GED required.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements; FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB, Proof of MMR, and Food Handlers Card.
• 18+ years of age.
