- Create a classroom culture of high achievement and student ownership of their learning that supports intellectual, social and emotional development.
- Provide daily instruction with clearly defined learning outcomes, well-designed lessons, and high-quality assessments aligned to Friendship’s curriculum and standards.
- Incorporate creative, hands-on learning experiences that broaden students’ exposure and interests and require application of knowledge and skills learned.
- Maintain a visually appealing classroom environment with resources aligned to curriculum and standards; showcase exemplary student work.
- Communicate with students about talents, interests, needs, learning expectations, and progress.
- Regularly communicate with families to report students’ achievements and progress.
- Collaborate with school-based staff and across the Friendship network in meetings and professional learning to enhance student learning and achievement.
- Experience in the role preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Successful completion of the Praxis II Exam
- One year of teaching experience and evidence of high student achievement and growth
- Master’s degree in mathematics or math-related field
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Two years of teaching experience with demonstrated student achievement and growth
