Interested in an education assignment in your surrounding area? Our client is seeking Teachers for the School Year in the Washington, DC area. The teacher will provide support to children in various settings including intermediate units, public, private, and charter schools.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
• Communicate with the site director, administration, fellow teachers, service staff, parents and guardians
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of all students
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards and objectives
• Work with parents and other community members to meet student learning need
• Be alert & implement a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Assess student learning through ongoing observation, evaluation, and feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student achievement and well-being
• Attend and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge; provide instruction of students by developing, selecting and modifying instructional plans and material and presenting them using instructional techniques which meet the needs of all students
• Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines as outlined by state and district policies

• Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Education or related field is required
• Minimum 1 year of Classroom experience
• Valid teaching certification/license in Washington DC preferred;
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional best practices and educational theories;
• Experience in writing and monitoring IEPs and communicating with families and service providers to support students; excellent knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning process
• Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
