Educational Aide (Part-Time, Afternoon Support)

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM

About the Role

Public Sector Solutions Group (PS2G)/Digi Doc is seeking a compassionate and reliable Educational Aide to provide afternoon support at Burrville Elementary School. This role supports students in a structured school environment and plays an important part in creating a safe, focused, and positive learning space.

Pay

$20.00/hr – $28.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to a CES student (a limited‑verbal kindergarten student with autism) to help maintain focus, engagement, and emotional regulation
• Offer patient, one‑on‑one attention and assist with simple redirection and task participation
• Support small groups of students as needed alongside DCPS staff
• Follow guidance from teachers, staff, and school leadership
• Maintain awareness of student safety and well‑being at all times
• Model respectful, caring interaction with students and staff
• Document or communicate observations as requested by school or program leadership

Note: This assignment does not require nursing responsibilities and may be filled by a behavior technician or educational aide.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, preferably in a school or behavioral support setting
• Experience supporting students with autism or special needs is strongly preferred
• Strong patience, empathy, and calm presence
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with school staff
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Must be able to pass any required background screenings
