What You'll DoAs a Top Score SAT/ACT Tutor, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting ongoing
120-minute private, in-home SAT/ACT lessons with students in the DC Metro area. - Coordinating and troubleshooting directly with parents in a professional and timely manner.
- Partnering with Top Score’s administrative staff to track student progress and ensure curriculum fidelity.
- Managing lesson scheduling and all parent communications.
- Completing
50-60 hours of paid training to ensure you’re equipped with the best tools and strategies for success.
- 2+ years of experience tutoring the SAT and/or ACT.
- A
95th percentile or higher SAT/ACT score. - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- A weekly commitment of at least8 teaching hours (e.g., 1-2 weekday evenings and one weekend day).
- Consistent access to a car and willingness to drive up to 30 minutes for 2-hour lessons (with travel bonuses for longer commutes).
- Top Compensation: Starting pay for experienced tutors ranges from$55-$80/hour
