American Generator Services is seeking a highly experienced Generator Technician to join our growing team. This remote-based role allows you to operate from your home base while traveling to client sites to service, maintain, and repair critical power generation systems.

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and load banking procedures on generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues using schematics in the field.
• Complete repairs, replacements, and system adjustments to restore optimal performance.
• Test and commission generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
• Maintain detailed service documentation and complete work orders accurately.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding findings and solutions.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while on job sites.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and build long-term client relationships.

• Own and provide your own professional tools.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in the power generation field.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot independently in the field.
• Experience servicing equipment from major generator manufacturers.
• Experience with load banking and preventative maintenance procedures.

• Experience with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) installation, service, and repair.
