Guidance, Navigation & Control; GNC Engineer

(W-2 Contract, DC Area)

Are you a seasoned GNC expert looking to shape the frontier of hypersonic flight testing and advanced weapon systems?

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior GNC Engineer to join a high-impact, multi-agency program on a long-term contract role.

You will be based in the Washington, DC area and this position offers the chance to work on the cutting edge of national security and aerospace technology.

• You will be a technical GNC lead (focus on outer loop/autopilot and flight path control) for a multi-year (through at least 2031) hypersonic flight testing and technology development initiative.
• Collaborate with top-tier partners – including NASA consultants, and retired experts across defense agencies.
• Provide technical direction, integrate with mechatronics/inner loop controls talent, and ensure robust GNC architecture for flight tests and product demonstrations.

• 7+ years’ experience in GNC engineering for aerospace, missiles, or defense systems (hypersonics exposure ideal).
• Deep expertise in flight path/outer loop control (autopilot, trajectory, mission navigation).
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) or equivalent proven experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring in multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Active (or eligible for) US Security Clearance strongly preferred.
