We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in HVAC design and plumbing design for both new construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility and building HVAC design, with a focus on heating and cooling load calculations. Additionally, the candidate should possess six years of experience using Revit and have the ability to interact with clients to discuss HVAC design and project management.

• Design HVAC systems for facility and building projects.
• Conduct heating and cooling load calculations.
• Collaborate with clients to discuss and refine HVAC design plans.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables efficiently.
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for design and drafting purposes.

• Proficiency in HVAC design and plumbing design.
• Six years of Revit experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong client interaction and communication skills.
• Project management experience.

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 6-10 years of applicable experience or over 10 years of mechanical engineering project management experience.
• AutoCAD or Revit experience preferred.

The role is based in the Washington DC office, which houses a team of 30 professionals. Although the main office is located in Minneapolis, there are additional offices in Chicago, DC, and Dallas. You will be joining a burgeoning team in DC, alongside a Senior Engineer with over 10 years of experience. The work involves a diverse range of projects, with 60% focusing on multifamily developments and 40% on institutional, cultural, government, and corporate interiors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
