Sr. Electrical Systems Engineer with MTSI will provide technical and programmatic advice and support services on a suite of advanced weapon system, sensor, and computer processing related technologies and programs. This position will be located in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Essential Job Functions- Interact daily with Air Force program managers and aerospace industry subject matter experts to assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations.
- Provide technical assistance to DoD for the development of advanced airborne sensors and sensor platforms.
- Provide program management and systems engineering support to major aircraft modification managing testing and airworthiness.
- 15 years of relevant DoD work experience in Systems and Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of DoD and/or USAF systems engineering processes and procedures for ACAT 1 and 2 systems, and contracts experience in preparing SOWs/RFPs and performing technical evaluations of proposals.
- Recent DoD and/or USAF Special Access Programs experience and DoD and/or USAF Headquarters staffing processes.
- Strong background in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communication/Electronic systems, and/or distributed Weapon System Architectures.
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Master’s Degree (DESIRED).
- Active TS/SCI with current or previous SAP.
