Mechanical Engineer
** Key Role:
** Apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Apply advanced skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members.

* Basic Qualifications:

*** 4+ years of experience in engineering
* Experience with 3-D Solid Works software and the use of 2-D CAD files for fabrication of system components
* Knowledge of materials and hardware used in fabrication of mechanical components
* Ability to build and test prototype systems and components and assist field service team with new and upgraded system installations
* Secret clearance
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 60 days of start date

* Additional Qualifications:

*** Experience with field service and reading assembly drawings
* Knowledge of thermal electric cooling and HVAC commercial systems and optical components
* Ability to perform field servicing atop field sites
** Clearance****:

Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
