Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Data Centers

Location: Washington DC-Baltimore Area

Compensation: Up to $180k base, guaranteed annual bonus, sign-on bonus.

We have partnered with a top national engineering firm and are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical delivery on a large scale data center projects
. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic, tight-knit office part of a large national AEC firm.

• Design of HVAC and plumbing systems, manage and design multiple concurrent projects
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
• Lead design team efforts and manage project team for budget and schedule control
• Develop fee and qualification-based proposals
• Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing and ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
• Reading and preparing project drawings including ductwork plans, piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, and bills of materials.
• Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs
• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment .
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities .
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering (required)
• Previous experience in mission-critical sectors.
• 10+ years of experience
• Experience with Load Calculation Software
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Project Management experience and/or certifications
• Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
• Experience with energy modeling is a plus
• Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus
• Active local industry involvement is a plus
