Commissioning Engineer (M.E./E.E.) – Energy/AEC Consulting Firm
We are looking for a professional with over 5 years of commissioning and retro‑commissioning experience in new and existing facilities. The candidate will meet clients and contractors, perform equipment performance testing, and work with BAS/BMS/control systems.
Responsibilities- Lead and execute commissioning projects from start to close‑out
- Lead and execute condition assessments and energy audits for existing facilities
- Support the development of innovative energy concepts for new and existing buildings
- Provide project management and coordination on small‑ and medium‑sized projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and project team members
- Produce summary reports and presentations for clients, multidisciplinary teams and other stakeholders
- Support business development activities including networking at industry events, developing and maintaining client relationships, and proposal preparation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of commissioning or energy‑related experience
- Working knowledge of mechanical/HVAC systems, BAS and controls systems
- Certifications desired (EIT, PE, CEM, CCP, CPMP, BEAP, LEED AP) but not required
- Excellent technical and communication skills
