RF Antenna Engineer - Low Frequency ( HFSS & Anechoic Chamber)
Job Type: Full-Time, Hybrid, Must have full working rights within the US
Salary: up to $210,000 Gross Per Annum + Stocks + Healthcare
Have you thought about working on systems that eliminate wireless dead-zones?
What about an opportunity to get stuck in with plasmonic RF systems?
An exciting opportunity for a hands-on RF antenna engineer with deep experience in low-frequency and electrically small antenna design to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on state-of-art communication systems breaking the wireless dead-zones.
You will focus on the end-to-end development of novel, non-traditional antenna systems; from fundamental electromagnetic concept development and full-wave simulation through prototyping, anechoic-chamber measurements, and performance optimization.
This is a highly practical environment and role for engineers who enjoy solving real-world antenna challenges, particularly those associated with size-constrained and low-frequency systems, and who are comfortable validating designs through measurement and experimentation.
YourActivities:
- Design and develop low-frequency through C-band antennas for real-world, size-constrained applications
- Lead antenna development from concept and physics-based modeling through prototype build, test, and iteration
- Perform 3D full-wave electromagnetic simulations using ANSYS HFSS
- Optimize antenna performance including impedance matching, radiation efficiency, bandwidth, and radiation patterns
- Design and evaluate matching networks and tuning approaches for electrically small antennas
- Plan and conduct antenna measurements in anechoic chambers and other relevant test environments
- Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, RF engineering or a closely related field
- 10+ years of professional RF design experience, and 5+ years of antenna design experience
Strong hands-on experience with low-frequency or electrically small antenna design - Strong proficiency with ANSYS HFSS or an equivalent full-wave EM simulation tool
- Demonstrated experience performing antenna measurements in an anechoic chamber
