Salary Range: $60- $100k

Job SummaryThis position will serve as a senior field lead supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs. The position is responsible for overseeing field installations and upgrades, ensuring all activities are carefully coordinated to protect the operational integrity of the National Airspace System (NAS). The technician will lead site readiness reviews, coordinate cutovers, and provide hands‑on support for equipment installation and testing.
Yearsof Relevant Experience
The position requires 15+ equivalent years of technical experience with FAA or Department of Defense (DoD) systems involving air traffic infrastructure. Specific experience with the FAA or DoD is required.
Essential Job FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related, and/or a logical assignment for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Lead installation activities for National Airspace (NAS) equipment, ensuring compliance with FAA standards and NAS protection protocols
- Coordinate with FAA Operations and Engineering teams to schedule installations around live traffic constraints
- Perform site assessments and lead the development of detailed implementation plans
- Oversee field teams executing rack, cabling, and system hardware installations
- Validate and document system performance during cutover and post-install testing
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior field technicians
- Individuals will be required to contribute effectively to working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships.
High school diploma required.
Skills Requirements- Strong understanding of NAS operational requirements and how to mitigate risks during system transitions
- Demonstrated leadership in coordinating field installations across multiple FAA regions
- Expert in interpreting engineering drawings and managing FAA‑compliant technical documentation
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to FAA field locations
- Strong communication and reporting skills for collaboration across FAA regional teams
- High level of proficiency with MS Office Products.
- Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Travel required as needed by client/s and/or company to various FAA field sites.
