Responsibilities- Provide mentorship and guidance to mechanical engineers and designers.
- Develop and manage project work plans for HVAC and plumbing design assignments.
- Lead the selection of systems, establish basis of design, and ensure high-quality work product.
- Represent the Mechanical discipline at client meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Coordinate mechanical and plumbing design with other project disciplines and the Project Manager.
- Support construction phase activities, including submittal reviews and responding to RFIs.
- Maintain and develop mechanical/plumbing standards in collaboration with senior engineering staff.
- Assist with quality control on mechanical and plumbing work products.
- Minimum of 8 years of focused mechanical and plumbing design experience.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering.
- Expertise in HVAC and plumbing design for multi-family, commercial, and government projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, Trane Trace, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to present technical information and respond to client inquiries.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading a local or national mechanical team.
- Background in developing and improving design standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with the latest industry advancements in HVAC/plumbing systems and sustainability.
- Experience in client relationship management within the engineering or design sector.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
