Senior Hardware Engineer (RFE3) PositionDescription:
You will provide support to the Program and Deputy Program Manager of a 200 person contractor team that includes subcontractor personnel.
Work location and telework:The government work location is the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Contractors will be required to work at the Navy Yard and in nearby office locations up to 5 days a week. Teleworking may be possible with the customer’s approval but will need to evolve as the work relationships evolve.
Responsibilities and Duties:Hardware Engineers research, design, develop, and test computer systems and components such as processors, circuit boards, and memory devices. They create technical schematics, support manufacturing processes, and enhance system performance by improving speed, reliability, and efficiency. Working frequently in laboratory environments, they collaborate closely with software teams to ensure hardware and software compatibility, utilizing expertise in electronics, programming, and troubleshooting.
Radio Frequency (RF) Engineers- Conducting data analysis, including interpreting and summarizing technical results
- Designing, developing, testing, evaluating, and sustaining Radio Frequency (RF) and Tactical Data Link (TDL) communication systems
- Developing technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports
- Applying disciplines related to communication system capabilities such as requirements analysis, systems engineering, interface design, logistics, training, reliability and maintainability, human factors, and test and evaluation (T&E)
- Utilizing communications theory, modulation techniques, engineering design principles, and system-level communications concepts (e.g., link budgets, modulation schemes, and end-to-end RF product development) to support mission requirements and technical objectives
