We're hiring an experienced Principal Engineer to join a Top Engineering Consultancy in the DC/Baltimore area.
In this leadership role, you will take ownership of MEP design strategy, coordination and client delivery across a range of complex and high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the design of MEP systems for a variety of building projects
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients on project scope, timeline and deliverables
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goals through QA/QC and site visits
- Resolve design challenges and provide innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience in MEP design and project leadership
- Proficiency in MEP design software including Revit
- Strong knowledge of local, state and national building codes and industry standards
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Professional Engineer license (required)
