Hydrodynamics Engineer The Opportunity
Apply advanced skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Provide technical leadership, programmatic oversight, and cross-stakeholder coordination to advance critical hydrodynamic design and control system development efforts. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members. Directly support senior leaders within the program office. Serve as an engineer across government, technical teams, and industry performers.
YouHave
- Experience managing projects or programs
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or 4+ years of experience in a submarine technical role in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of experience with NAVSEA or U.S. Submarines
- 5+ years of experience supporting technical or defense industry
- Experience in submarine hydrodynamics, stability and control, submarine control systems, naval architecture principles, model scale testing and submarine maneuvering systems
- Experience managing complex Navy projects with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Experience supporting Navy acquisition programs
Secret clearance is required.
