Fusion Engineer
Immerse yourself in cutting‑edge technologies while serving as a strategic technical advisor to energy clients. You will support the development of new technologies for fusion energy systems by providing advice and guidance on the design, evaluation, and management of government and private sector sponsored R&D programs.
ResponsibilitiesEngage and collaborate with a group of technology experts to leverage rapidly maturing technologies from other sectors to further energy technology development. Provide technical recommendations on emerging technology needs for clients.
Required Experience and Qualifications- 5+ years of experience authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans on research pertaining to plasma physics and fusion energy systems.
- 2+ years of experience researching gyrotrons or beam energy physics.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
- Doctorate degree in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in an advisory role.
- Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness when dealing with uncertainty and ability to ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking.
- Excellent communication, organizational, client‑service, and analytical skills.
Up to 15% of the time.
Security ClearancePublic Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination required.

CompensationProjected compensation range: $77,600.00 to $ (annualized USD) based on location, experience, and other factors.
