Senior Building Enclosure & Restoration Lead - Washington, DC
I'm currently working with a Tier 1 AEC consulting firm that is looking to add a Building Enclosure & Restoration Lead to its Washington, DC team.
This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized engineering consultancy known for tackling complex projects involving building envelope investigations, restoration design, waterproofing, façade systems, roofing, curtain walls, and forensic evaluations. The firm has a strong reputation across the industry and offers the chance to work on both new construction and existing building challenges alongside some of the most respected professionals in the field.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Managing small to mid-sized projects from investigation through design and construction support.
- Evaluating existing buildings and developing repair/restoration solutions.
- Leading building envelope investigations and remediation efforts.
- Performing field assessments and water infiltration testing.
- Designing repairs for façades, roofs, windows, curtain walls, waterproofing systems, and related components.
- Working directly with architects, contractors, owners, and other stakeholders.
- Mentoring junior staff and supporting technical development within the team.
- Assisting with peer reviews, expert consulting, and construction administration activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture
- PE or RA license required.
- 5+ years of experience in building envelope, restoration, façade consulting, waterproofing, roofing, or related disciplines.
- Strong technical, written, and client-facing communication skills.
- Experience with curtain walls, historic preservation, forensic investigations, or testing programs is a plus.
- Base salary ranging from approximately $130K-$170K+ depending on experience and level.
- Eligible for annual bonus opportunities.
