Responsibilities
Coordinates moderately complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and process integration to ensure seamless project delivery and operational excellence. Demonstrates working proficiency across core MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, low voltage, and automation, from design development through construction. Applies comprehensive MEP expertise and cross‑functional collaboration to resolve design and construction challenges, minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency. Maintains alignment between project requirements, regulatory standards, and stakeholder expectations to achieve high‑quality, compliant outcomes.
Elevates project performance by proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation in MEP coordination. Influences leading MEP practices through close collaboration with architects, engineers, and project teams, while guiding peers and less experienced coordinators.
Facilitates coordination of moderately complex MEP systems and processes across design, construction, and commissioning phases to ensure integration and functionality. Collaborates with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to resolve technical issues and align project objectives. Reviews and validates MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy, compliance, and constructability. Facilitates regular coordination meetings and communicates updates to all relevant stakeholders to maintain project alignment.
Reviews potential conflicts or risks related to MEP systems, proactively addressing issues before they impact project delivery. Supports less experienced team members in ensuring that standard and moderately complex building services systems are properly planned, designed, and integrated. Collaborates and follows guidelines for MEP specific safety procedures for installation and testing in the field with trade partners. Monitors the adoption of leading practices and innovative solutions to enhance MEP coordination effectiveness and project outcomes.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, a related field, or equivalent experience required. 4–6 years of experience in MEP coordination, building systems design, construction project management, or a related field required.
