Seeking qualified professionals to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Aviation safety is a collaborative government‑industry initiative that integrates multiple safety databases to proactively detect hazards, monitor known risks, and evaluate safety mitigations across the National Airspace System.
Key Responsibilities- Provide End‑to‑End Meeting Planning and Logistics Coordination
- Provide planning services for Safety Team, regional, national and international meetings, and safety conferences
- Provide support required to arrange meeting location, prepare meeting site, and logistical support
- Coordinate planning for, develop and disseminate content and publications for meetings and conferences
- Analyze aviation operational, regulatory, and safety issues supporting safety in the NAS
- Develop and evaluate recommendations to improve aviation safety and operational performance
- Support policy development and the creation of standards, guidance, and technical documentation
- Conduct data‑driven analysis, technical studies, and research to support program objectives
- Prepare technical reports, findings, and recommendations for Government and stakeholder use
- Support development of briefings, position papers, and technical guidance to inform FAA and stakeholder decision‑making
- Collaborate with team members, FAA program offices, and industry stakeholders on analytical and operational initiatives
- Experience working with FAA Headquarters and supporting cross‑organizational collaboration and executive‑level communications
- Applied technical expertise in aviation safety programs or aviation‑related domains
- Experience supporting development of technical studies, operational recommendations, or aviation guidance materials
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one (1) year of direct aviation experience in flight operations, or equivalent experience
- Experience as a pilot with a commercial or airline transport pilot rating (as appropriate) or experience as a certified air traffic controller
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident (minimum 3+ years of U.S. residency) and Public Trust approval
