You will work directly with engineering personnel on prototypes, hardware builds, and verification activities. This role requires familiarity with aerospace‑grade workmanship standards, ITAR handling requirements, and AS9100D documentation practices. This is a production and test‑floor position suited for someone who is technically precise, self‑directed, and comfortable in a small company where responsibilities span multiple phases of the hardware lifecycle.

Fairfax or Manassas, VA

• Assemble, wire, solder, and integrate electronic components and subsystems for missile guidance, navigation, and control systems in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions
• Perform functional testing, continuity checks, and calibration on electronic assemblies using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.)
• Support integration testing of avionics, seeker, and fuzing subsystems in accordance with test procedures
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic faults at the component and board level; document findings and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate build records, traveler documentation, and inspection logs in compliance with company quality assurance requirements
• Handle, store, and transport ITAR‑controlled hardware and materials in strict accordance with company policy and federal regulations
• Collaborate with systems engineers, mechanical technicians, integration and test engineers, production technicians and quality inspectors during hardware builds, fit checks, and ground testing as needed
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing assembly time and cost per unit, consistent with CoAspire’s affordable mass production mission
• Follow all ESD, FOD, and safety protocols within the manufacturing and test environment
• First article inspection to include wire harnesses

• Associate’s degree or technical certificate in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field — or equivalent military training (e.g., Aviation Electronics Technician, Avionics Tech MOS/rating)
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience assembling or testing electronic systems, preferably in aerospace, defense, or complex electromechanical environments
• Proficiency in IPC‑A‑610 workmanship standards
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
• Familiarity with AS9100D or MIL‑spec quality systems and associated documentation requirements
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Ability to meet ITAR access requirements

• Experience with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) electronics or avionics integration on aerial platforms or munitions
• Background with additive manufacturing (3D printing) in an electronics or electromechanical assembly context
• Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461, or similar environmental and EMI/EMC test standards
• Experience with conformal coating, potting, and other environmental protection processes
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a small, fast‑moving team where roles are broad and initiative is valued
• IPC J‑STD‑001 soldering certification
