Protingent has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer with our client in Washington, DC.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design, analysis, fabrication, testing, and integration of electrical systems for both ground support equipment and flight hardware. Develop analog and digital circuitry to support measurement, control, and instrumentation functions for thermal and electromechanical systems. Work across the full lifecycle of power systems, including battery technology selection, system sizing, packaging, and testing for a variety of chemistries and mission environments.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the design, analysis, fabrication, testing, and integration of electrical systems for ground support and flight systems. Experience designing, analyzing, and testing analog and digital circuitry for thermal, electromechanical, control, and instrumentation systems. Expertise in the sizing, technology selection, packaging, and testing of power systems, including batteries of various chemistries. Strong understanding of component ratings, environmental and performance limitations, radiation impacts, grounding and shielding methods, electromagnetic compatibility, and thermal effects.
Proficiency with electronics design and simulation tools such as OrCAD, PSpice, ELECTRO, and MAGNETO. Skilled in the use of electronic instrumentation and test equipment. Experience with government procurement practices, regulations, and compliance requirements is a plus.

Washington, DC. Salary Range: $150K-$175K US Citizen and Active Secret clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
