Duties Help

• You will apply professional systems engineering knowledge and analysis to complex problems in launcher systems, research and development, and the investigation of Trident II Launcher issues.
• You will act as the principal technical consultant, utilizing formal systems engineering processes to oversee system architecture, integration, verification, validation, service life, testing, and maintainability of launcher subsystem components.
• You will serve as the lead safety engineer for the launcher programs, applying scientific and systems engineering principles to execute comprehensive systems safety programs.
• You will be responsible for cost, schedule, and technical control over assigned projects for the Under Water Launch Subsystem and associated support equipment over the entire system life cycle.
• You will plan, manage, and coordinate concept explorations, design, and development projects for new and revised payload and sensor technologies.
• You will direct feasibility studies to analyze, evaluate, and determine the practicability and adaptability of proposed solutions, subsequently evaluating the efficiency of adopted improvements to ensure fulfillment of requirements.
• You will enforce standards of quality for government and contractor staff to maintain schedules, ensure project and program goals are kept on target, and verify compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• You will serve as a leader of technical investigation teams charged with analyzing and determining root causes of system failures or anomalies and recommending changes to correct deficiencies.
• You will advise on the latest engineering technological advances and state-of-the-art applications pertinent to the development of new products or theories within various engineering disciplines (e.g., electrical, electronics, mechanical).

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
