Pro Sidian is seeking a Transport Modeler | Modeling Support. This is a full-time, exempt 1099 contract with no overtime pay, contingent basis located in Washington DC across the Mid Atlantic Region supporting a branch of DOE that leverages science and technology to address energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges, advancing climate and energy policies through strategic studies and policy analysis supporting analytical capabilities.
This position requires candidates with relevant Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Clients such as DOEOP. This is a contract contingent or contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Modeling Support
Functional Area

Job Overview
Provide services and support as an Energy Technical Consulting (Transport Modeler) in the Energy, Science, and Technology Research Industry Sector focusing on business process solutions for clients such as the Department of Energy (DOE | OP) | DOE Office of Policy (OP) generally located in CONUS
- Washington DC and across the Mid Atlantic Region (of country/world).
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop transportation energy models to analyze fuel use, emissions, and infrastructure needs. Align with Modeling Support
Functional Area
initiatives as a Transport Modeler that designs and executes models to evaluate transportation sector energy demand and emissions scenarios. Provide public comment review, data analysis, modeling, evaluation, mapping, forecasting and report development, data tracking tools, workforce policy analysis and convening, as well as energy market economic and regulatory analysis technical consulting services and support for the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Policy (OP).
These services enable mission objectives involved with renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies.
Qualifications
Desired qualifications for Transport Modeler | Modeling Support candidates:
Qualified candidates for Transport Modeler must possess expertise in their respective field, with experience in energy, policy, and technical consulting.
Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
Candidates for Transport Modeler typically require a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering) and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
