Senior NETA Field Service Technician​/Engineer-Electrical Testing

Technical school graduate and/or engineering degree Minimum of 5 years experience testing and evaluating low, medium and high voltage electrical power systems Certified as, or ability to be reinstated as, a NETA III or higher technician

Read and understand electrical one line drawings Perform all aspects of testing and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems including start up and commissioning. Inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair the following low, medium, and high voltage electrical distribution equipment:
Automatic transfer switches Circuit breakers Conductors Relays Starters Switchgears Transformers Perform power system studies such as short circuit & coordination, arc flash and load flow Operate an infrared thermography camera, and diagnose equipment accordingly Write complete, detailed electronic reports promptly after project completion.

Strong computer skills: including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite Effective written and oral communication skills to maintain relationships with managers and clients. Required training:
Certified NETA technician Strong understanding of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Specifications, NFPA
70B and industry codes & standards. Training in OSHA Electrical Safety and NFPA
70E safety guidelines. Current knowledge of NEC, NFPA-70E, Electrical Classifications, IEEE/ANSI and other applicable design standards and guidelines.
