Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Manager, Orebody Knowledge to join our team. The successful candidate will provide deep technical expertise to improve orebody understanding, geological models, and geometallurgical characterization across the portfolio strengthening the geological foundation for resource estimation, mine planning, and metallurgical performance to support resource growth and operational performance while ensuring technical assurance of annual disclosures.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the Geological Technical Assurance Framework, owning global standards across geoscience disciplines, tracking compliance, ensuring high-quality data collection across sites, and conducting independent peer reviews of geological data, modeling, metallurgical assumptions, and major capital studies.
  • Provide enterprise-level technical oversight of geological models underpinning Mineral Resource estimates and mine planning, ensuring robust integration of structural controls, lithology, alteration, mineralization domains, and promoting best practices in 3D modeling and interpretation workflows.
  • Drive integrated orebody understanding across the value chain by linking geology, metallurgy, mine planning, and exploration, advancing geometallurgical frameworks, and ensuring geological and metallurgical variability are incorporated into resource models, processing performance, and planning assumptions.
  • Lead technical initiatives to improve orebody characterization, mineralization controls, and geological predictability, supporting enhanced drilling strategies, subsurface data acquisition, and reducing geological uncertainty while resolving complex geological challenges impacting resource confidence and mining performance.
  • Build organizational capability by mentoring and developing geoscience talent, supporting SME competency and succession planning, promoting technical excellence, facilitating knowledge sharing and best practice transfer across operations, and escalating material geological and disclosure risks as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field; or Bachelor of Science degree with equivalent experience required
  • Over fifteen (15) years' experience in mine geology or exploration providing expert competence required
  • Minimum three (3) years' in a senior role managing geologists and mining or exploration programs required
  • Familiarity with Leapfrog, Deswik, Vulcan, and Acquire software preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate optimally; both verbally and in writing required
  • Team leader with the ability to work collaboratively within a coordinated and agile multidisciplinary team, regardless of reporting structure required
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision required
  • Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
