Project Engineer (CAD)

Washington, DC (remote) Pay From: $30.00 per hour

MUST:

• Experienced Project Engineer (CAD)
• 2–5 years of engineering or coordination experience
• Must have production experience
• Proficient in CAD and design tools is a must
• Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, including security, access control, fire alarm, AV, and related technologies
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

DUTIES:

• Independently develop and produce complete engineering documentation packages, including drawings, submittals, and equipment schedules
• Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for assigned projects
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and other engineering resources to align design deliverables with installation schedules
• Assist with change ordered and the value engineering of projects
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to field teams during installation and commissioning
• Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain technical specifications and support
• Identify and propose engineering solutions to resolve project challenges
