We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Arlington, VA office as part of our Federal Buildings & Infrastructure team. Collaborating with our expert architects and engineers, you'll design structural systems for a variety of building types including airports, government and mission-critical facilities, data centers, and large-scale manufacturing facilities. Depending on experience, you will either independently execute design tasks or lead technical efforts, mentor team members, and manage aspects of project delivery.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, code-compliant designs while balancing scope, schedule, and budget. Our global network provides access to subject matter experts and opportunities for cross-regional collaboration and travel.
- Master's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis
- 5+ years of relevant buildings-related structural design experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM)
- Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE)
- Desire to take independent initiative and ownership of work
- United States citizenship
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Structural Engineer (SE) license
- Experience with Revit
- Familiarity with Federal government clients, standards, and criteria (e.g., UFC)
- Experience with design-build and early contractor involvement delivery methods
- United States security clearance, or the ability to obtain
