Technical Lead Marine Engineer

Security Clearance:
- Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical efforts including analyzing reliability, maintainability, and availability data for sustainment and modernization of ship systems
- Lead development and performance of test and evaluation plans, develop and implement science and technology and SBIR efforts for HM&E and C5I systems.
- Provide senior-level guidance and manage contractor support team.
- Conduct in-service ship design reviews and engineering activities; and special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems and/or shipboard equipment.
- Provide naval architecture, marine engineering, electrical engineering and in-depth systems engineering support for the Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E);
Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat & Intelligence (C5I); and mission equipment and systems installed aboard ships, boats, craft and targets. - The employee shall work with key program personnel and other stakeholders.
Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience supporting the US Navy or Shipyard.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience directly overseeing engineers or technical personnel
- Experience in Navy Ship programs is required.
- Experience with engineering changes and modifications to Navy ships.
- Familiarization in ship lifecycle sustainment and modernization principles
- DoD/ DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process);
DoD/ DoN contracting; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel; supervisory;
Navy procedures and processes is desired.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Master's degree in engineering.
- Professional Engineering Certification Preferred.
Membership to Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) or American Society of Naval Engineer (ASNE) is preferred
