This position is located in the Spectrum Coordination Branch, Policy and Rules Division, Office of Engineering and Technology Branch, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Washington, DC. Relocation expenses will not be paid. THIS VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT MAY BE USED TO FILL ADDITIONAL POSITIONS WITHIN 90 DAYS.

PARTB. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION CRITERIA GS-12
In addition to meeting the educational qualification requirements, candidates must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as follows:
- Experience which demonstrates knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of electronics engineering as it relates to telecommunications;
- Experience performing engineering analysis and studies concerning radio frequency communications systems;
- Experience which demonstrates knowledge of FCC policies and regulations as pertains to spectrum coordination among FCC Bureaus/Offices and Federal Departments/Agencies;
- Experience writing technical documents with analyses and recommendations.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
