Supervisory General Engineer
The Supervisory General Engineer is responsible for all aspects of project development, including design, construction, budgeting and evaluation, ensuring projects meet cost, schedule, and quality standards.
In this position, you will:
· Plan the work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
· Collaborate with senior Smithsonian Institution (SI) stakeholders to identify project needs, define objectives, and develop comprehensive work plans that align with institutional priorities.
· Coordinate flow of communications containing technical information to appropriate SI personnel.
· Oversee complex engineering and facilities projects from inception through completion, including post-project evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
