Customs & Border Protection (CBP):

Typical duties include:

  • Conducts privacy compliance reviews of CBP programs and systems, assesses privacy risks, and develops recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities, coordinating with senior staff on complex issues.
  • Develops, reviews, and coordinates privacy documentation (PIAs, SORNs, PTAs, data sharing agreements), ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyzes CBP data collection, use, and information sharing practices, evaluates data minimization and security measures, and recommends improvements to strengthen privacy protections.
  • Serves as a liaison on privacy matters, supporting program operations, stakeholder engagement, and participating in privacy incident response activities, including investigations, risk assessments, and reporting.
