Civil Engineer Intern

AMT, LLC (AMT) is seeking a highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineer Intern to join the engineering team in our Washington, DC office for the 2027 internship period. This is a paid full-time position with an anticipated duration of May through August 2027 (flexible) and has the potential to transition into a Full-Time Role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team leaders, with partnerships with other engineering staff.

• Support various project tasks, including regulatory requirements/reviews, research, procurement support, etc.;
• Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation;
• Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients;
• May work on engineering field assignments as needed;
• May work on survey field assignments as needed;
• Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates;
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.

• Must be at least 18 years old;
• Pursuing Bachelor or Associates Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or related field;
• Minimum GPA of 3.0;
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills;
• Self-motivated, detail oriented person;
• AutoCAD experience is preferred;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point); and
• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.
