Seeking an Experienced Title & Escrow POST-CLOSER for a fast-paced office in the Washington, D.C. area.
Responsibilities- Receive files from settlement, and immediately review all documents, ensuring that they are properly signed and notarized. Obtain missing information and/or correct inaccuracies as appropriate
- Verify all funds have been received from all sources
- Ensure compliance with lender’s instructions
- Disburse all files as they close, send documents to record, ensure they are closed and recorded as required
- Cut checks, send outgoing wires, and prepare internal transfers
- Request change of ownership with DC WASA, receive and pay final water bills
- Prepare copies and forward lenders packages
- Deposit checks as necessary using remote capture
- Record electronically with Simplifile in applicable jurisdictions, send to Abstractor or directly to the county when applicable
- Work with internal and external partners to address any issues that need to be resolved
Must have relevant work experience in the title/settlement industry
Must have experience with post-closing in Virginia, DC, and Maryland
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to liaise with high-profile clients
High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must possess and demonstrate a sense of urgency
Ability to travel occasionally to other office locations

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, Full-Time, in office. No remote work available for this position. Must be flexible and willing to work past 5:00 pm from time to time. Allied Title is closed for all Federal Holidays.
