Sikich is seeking an Excel Financial Model Analyst to support budgeting, financial analysis, and executive‑level reporting for federal clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong Excel fundamentals, exceptional attention to detail, and a desire to grow into more advanced modeling, automation, and VBA‑enabled enhancements over time.

You will begin by maintaining and updating existing Excel‑based financial models and supporting routine data updates. As you develop, you will have opportunities to take on more complex model refreshes, advanced logic, and eventually contribute to automation and dashboard development.

• Must be willing to work on site in Washington, DC.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust required.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience building and maintaining spreadsheets.
• High attention to detail and strong quality‑control instincts.
• Basic understanding of federal budgeting concepts and willingness to learn federal financial analysis.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to expand Excel and budgeting skills over time.

• Maintain existing Excel spreadsheets and build new, straightforward spreadsheets as needed.
• Perform routine updates such as adding new projects, CAN numbers, and adjusting reference tables.
• Follow established business processes and data flows using a basic understanding of budgeting concepts.
• Ensure high accuracy and quality control in all spreadsheet updates.
• Collaborate in a team environment where each person contributes to client needs.

• Experience with multi‑sheet models, pivot tables, lookups, and larger datasets.
• Familiarity with array formulas, advanced conditional formatting, and data validation logic.
• Foundational programming experience or interest in learning VBA for Excel.
• Experience designing dashboards or analytical outputs for executive audiences.

• Microsoft Office Specialist (Excel Associate or Expert).
• Introductory financial analysis or budgeting certifications (e.g., FMVA foundations, CDFM modules).

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the maximum salary range for this position is $85,600. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
