Vice President Finance

Type: Interim / Contract

Steven Douglas is seeking an experienced Interim Vice President of Finance to support a critical phase of growth and transformation. This role will serve as a hands-on financial leader, partnering closely with executive leadership to strengthen financial operations, reporting, and systems — with a strong emphasis on Net Suite implementation and optimization
. The engagement will be onsite in the Washington, D.C. area

• Provide senior-level financial leadership during an interim period, acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team
• Lead or support Net Suite implementation
  , including system design, configuration, testing, and go-live support
• Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Evaluate and improve financial processes, policies, and workflows to support scalability
• Develop and refine budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Partner with FP&A, accounting, and operations teams to drive data-driven decision making
• Support audit readiness and liaise with external auditors, consultants, and advisors
• Mentor and stabilize the finance team during the transition period

• Proven experience serving as a VP of Finance, Head of Finance, or similar senior finance role
• Direct Net Suite implementation experience (end-to-end preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to step into ambiguous or transitional environments and quickly add value
• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset with strategic perspective
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
