PE-Backed CFO - Global Software Platform

Finatal has been exclusively retained by a private equity sponsor to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a growing, global software platform serving government agencies, aerospace and defense, public safety organizations, and other regulated end markets. The organization operates across multiple revenue models - to include SaaS, perpetual and subscription licensing, and implementation-based professional services. The business is roughly $100M in revenue and growing.

With an exit in 4-5 years, this role presents an opportunity for a hands‑on, experience PE finance leader to partner closely with the CEO and sponsor to scale the business and position it for its next transaction.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will serve as the senior‑most financial leader and strategic partner to the executive team and private equity sponsor.

This successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Prior experience in a PE‑backed software or technology‑enabled services business of relevant scale ($50M+ ARR)
• Demonstrated success leading M&A and post‑acquisition integration activities
• Experience with global businesses and leading international finance teams
• Credibility to support an eventual transaction process and engage effectively with investors and buyers

Please note this role is on‑site in Washington, DC 4 days / week.
