Chief Financial Officer

My firm is recruiting for a CFO role for a boutique A&E firm that has been operating in Washington DC for over 40 years. Our client is a well-known industry firm with clients around the globe. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, strategic financial planning/budgeting, overseeing financial reporting, assisting with RFP’s, managing financial/IT systems, and interface with their external CPA firm.

• Manage and oversee monthly financial cycle including financial reporting, billing and accounts payable.
• Oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and liquidity management.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting package
• Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Assist with RFP proposals and pricing
• Interface with external IT consultants as necessary to support internal financial systems (Deltek Vantagepoint)
• Oversee accounting staff to ensure that they meet expected deadlines

• BS – Accounting or Finance required
• CPA or MBA preferred
• 15-20+ years progressively responsible experience
• Must have professional services industry experience
• Must have project-based accounting experience
• Position requires strong leadership and communications skills
• Ability to operated effectively in a small entrepreneurial global firm
