Overview
Role: Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant
Location: Washington DC
Office
Schedule:
3 days a week

A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable to support day-to-day finance operations across multiple revenue channels including membership, development, corporate programs, publications, and large-scale events.
Qualifications- Min of 2 years of Full Cycle Accounts Receivable
- Experience with G/L recs.
- BS, Business related highly preferred
- Non-Profit Industry /Membership experience
- Strong Reconciliation Experience
- Process all bank deposits (credit cards, checks, wires,)
- Post and allocate revenue in Sage Intacct
- Maintain A/R subledger and reconcile to General Ledger
- Prepare monthly invoicing and aging reports
- Follow up on past-due receivables (6+ months)
- Reconcile assigned GL and investment accounts
- Process in-house credit card transactions
- Processing and preparation of daily cash receipts, data entry for Membership, Subscriptions, Publications, Annual meeting transactions, and handling inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Prepare weekly liquidity reports
- Maintain fixed assets
- Support revenue and reconciliation activities for:
- Membership dues and revenue recognition
- Development and donation deposits
- Corporate payments, sponsor ships, and royalties
- Event vendor deposits and exhibitor payments
- Advertising revenue and commission true-ups
- Publication payments and overdue tracking
- Foundation investments and donation deposits
- Assist with year-end close, deferred revenue schedules, audit support, and overdue reporting.
