Managing Director

Iuvo is dedicated to providing exceptional financial leadership and support to its clients, ensuring compliance and operational excellence in the federal contracting space.

The Managing Director is a senior financial leader responsible for overseeing accounting operations, compliance, and financial reporting for a select group of Iuvo’s clients. This role requires deep expertise in GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA-compliant accounting, strong command of Deltek Costpoint and related Gov Con systems, and proven experience leading accounting teams at scale.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, billing, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end and year-end close.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP and federal contracting requirements.
• Support Corporate (Parent) requests as required in a timely manner.
• Maintain strong internal controls and oversee financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain client relationships
• Responsible to maintain good clients relationships.
• Act as trusted business advisor (to clients as well as a industry thought leader).
• Seek additional opportunities within the current client base.
• Grow your MD practice (working with Account Executive).
• Federal Compliance & Audit Readiness
• Ensure full compliance with FAR and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Lead preparation for and support of DCAA audits, including incurred cost submissions, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing rate proposals.
• Interpret and apply government contract terms related to cost allowability, allocability, and reasonableness.
• Serve as the internal authority on Gov Con accounting compliance matters.
• Systems & Data Management
• Manage Deltek Costpoint, including configuration, chart of accounts, project setup, indirect rate structures, and reporting.
• Oversee integrations with related systems.
• Partner with IT and operations to improve system efficiency and data integrity.
• Leadership & Team Management
• Directly manage and mentor 6–12 accounting and finance professionals.
• Establish performance expectations and support professional development.
• Build scalable accounting processes to support company growth.
• Strategic & Executive Support to clients
• Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and cash flow management.
• Provide financial insight to support pricing and business development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience within a federal government contracting environment.
• Demonstrated expertise with FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Deltek Costpoint.
• Prior Controller-level or senior accounting leadership experience.
  
  Proven experience managing teams of 6+ direct reports.
