Best suited for experienced candidates well‑versed in complex topics such as income tax credits, investor reporting, vendor reporting, and more. The company sports an excellent culture and is anticipating high growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple operating and development properties, including general ledger maintenance, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and preparation of timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end construction draw process, ensuring proper documentation, compliance with lender requirements, and on‑time submissions.
  • Handle complex, compliance‑heavy accounting topics such as low‑income tax credits, historic tax credits, equity structures, waterfalls, partnership accounting, and multi‑layered capital stacks.
  • Interpret leases, operating agreements, development agreements, and other governing documents to independently resolve accounting questions and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare property‑level reporting packages for internal leadership, lenders, investors, and third‑party partners.
  • Manage tax‑related documentation and coordinate with external accountants on filings, distributions, K‑1s, and entity‑level compliance.
  • Maintain strong financial control frameworks across multiple entities and consolidations; support institutionalization of scalable processes and reporting structures.
  • Act as a power user of Yardi, overseeing system configuration, mapping, and maintenance to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems build‑out as the organization grows.
  • Collaborate with property management teams, external consultants, vendors, and cross‑functional business units to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Produce high‑quality deliverables under firm deadlines while operating independently and maintaining accountability.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in real estate accounting, CPA strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience managing full cycle construction draws.
  • Deep proficiency in Yardi.
  • Experience working with complex capital structures, equity and debt reporting, and compliance‑heavy financial environments.
  • Strong understanding of multi‑entity accounting, consolidations, and financial control frameworks.

  • Personal Time Off (PTO) is 15-20 days (DOE), 10 Paid Holidays, and up to 16 weeks of Paid Parental Leave (1+ years of employment).
  • Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
