  • Improve month‑end close efficiency and reporting accuracy
  • Deliver clear, actionable job‑cost and margin analysis to division leadership
  • Strengthen billing cadence, collections performance, and working capital management
  • Develop and coach a high‑performing team of 5+ finance professionals

  • Enhance forecasting accuracy across multiple active projects
  • Implement measurable process improvements (people, process, technology)

  • Serve as a strategic partner in bid reviews, capital planning, and growth initiatives
  • Own divisional financial operations across Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), Order‑to‑Cash (OTC), and Record‑to‑Report (R2R)
  • Ensure timely and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Lead job‑cost analysis and margin performance tracking across active construction projects
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis for bids, GMPs, and capital investments
Operational Partnership
  • Partner with Project Managers and Operations leaders to evaluate cost drivers and improve project outcomes
  • Support estimating teams with financial insights that improve pricing accuracy and risk assessment
  • Align financial reporting with real‑time project performance
Cash Flow & Risk Management
  • Monitor WIP, retainage, billings, and collections performance
  • Oversee compliance with GAAP and construction revenue recognition standards
  • Support external audits, insurance reviews, bonding requirements, and vendor relationships
Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5+ finance professionals
  • Create accountability through measurable KPIs
  • Elevate the department’s analytical capability and business partnership mindset
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements
  • Support finance transformation initiatives focused on scalability and automation
  • Champion best practices in construction accounting and reporting
Required Experience
  • 7+ years progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years in construction
  • Demonstrated experience with Cost Plus (GMP), Fixed‑Fee, and Lump‑Sum contracts
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • WIP reporting
    • Percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition
    • Retainage

    • Job‑cost accounting
  • Experience leading financial operations in a high‑growth environment

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or Master’s preferred not required.

  • Trusted partner who maintains discretion and confidentiality
  • Advanced Excel and strong M365 proficiency (Power BI experience a plus)
We are a 100% employee‑owned organization offering a comprehensive and competitive package:

This is a high‑impact leadership role within a growing construction division. The right individual will play a critical part in strengthening profitability, improving reporting transparency, and building a scalable financial infrastructure to support long‑term expansion.

If you are a finance leader who thrives in a project‑driven environment and wants direct influence on operational performance — this is your seat at the table.
