Cost/Pricing Analyst II
Location: Washington, DC
Join our team of professionals who support large‑scale government operations by leveraging cutting‑edge technology. As a Cost/Pricing Analyst II, you will support the Chief of Pricing by providing expert guidance and recommendations on a wide array of cost and pricing matters essential to Air Force acquisition. This role is key to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of complex pricing proposals and cost objectives within Federal, DoD, and Air Force contracting regulations.
Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance to procurement personnel, offering practical advice and technical insights on resolving complex cost and pricing issues.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of contract price proposals to assess compliance with laws, regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Serve as the primary cost/price analyst for complex or sensitive contracts, determining appropriate pricing strategies and cost objectives.
- Act as technical expert on pricing matters, advising specialists on best practices.
- Collaborate with Contracting Officers to establish sound cost objectives, applying expert knowledge of federal, DoD, and Air Force pricing policies.
- Participate in short‑term and long‑term teams to address pricing issues within the acquisition lifecycle.
- Utilize Excel to perform detailed analyses, manage data, and develop pricing documentation for large‑scale acquisitions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant DoD, IC, or industry experience, including at least one (1) year in a Special Access Program (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment within the past five years.
- Valid and active driver’s license.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for a Government Counter‑Intelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly).
- Ability to work independently with limited technical guidance, applying knowledge to complex pricing challenges.
- Advanced understanding of pricing principles, cost analysis techniques, and CAS regulations, with experience in complex contracting environments.
- Proficiency in federal, DoD, and Air Force pricing regulations and contracting policies.
- Strong analytical and evaluative skills for detailed cost assessments and pricing recommendations.
- High‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and cost reporting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey technical pricing insights.
- Problem‑solving ability to address complex pricing issues independently.
- Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS as needed.
