American Military Communities is a specialized multifamily real estate venture focused on housing proximate to U.S. military installations. As we position for institutional-scale capital formation, we are building the governance, reporting, and compliance infrastructure necessary to meet the rigorous standards expected by institutional limited partners, fund administrators, and regulatory bodies.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a high-caliber Investor Relations (IR) Professional to architect and operationalize a comprehensive communication and reporting regime that positions the firm for institutional capital readiness. This is a foundational engagement: the selected candidate will design investor communication frameworks from the ground up, ensuring alignment with institutional best practices.
Core Responsibilities- Prepare investor-facing materials—including quarterly reports, capital account statements, and performance presentations—to institutional-grade standards.
- Establish LP reporting cadences, fee disclosures, and transparency frameworks consistent with the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) guidelines.
- Design performance measurement and reporting methodologies that conform to the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership on capital structure, fund formation, and governance matters.
- Conduct gap analysis of the firm's current investor communication and reporting capabilities against institutional benchmarks.
- 10+ years of progressive professional leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years serving real estate investment firms, private equity sponsors, or fund managers.
- Deep working knowledge of partnership structures and institutional LP reporting requirements.
- Ability to operate autonomously and build communication infrastructure in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
- Deep military knowledge or direct military experience, particularly an understanding of the unique needs and culture of military communities.
- Prior experience advising emerging managers or first-time fund sponsors on institutional readiness.
- Familiarity with multifamily or military housing asset classes.
- Experience interfacing with institutional allocators, including pension funds, endowments, or sovereign wealth vehicles.
- CFA, CAIA, or relevant advanced degree (MBA, MS in Finance).
- Location: Fully Remote.
- Reports To: Managing Principal / CFO.
- Classification: 1099 Contract with potential for permanent placement.
- Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
