Risk Manager/Analyst
These positions are part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of Portfolio Management (OPM). As a Director, Portfolio Management, you will oversee complex loans and guaranties; manage risk, compliance, and performance; lead restructurings and workouts; conduct due diligence and site visits; and strengthen partnerships that advance development impact and financial returns.
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:- 1) Independently reviewing financial models;
- 2) Independently communicating complex financial information to senior leaders;
- 3) Leading the presentation of complex financial information in a variety of formats (i.e., reports, presentations, correspondence, etc.);
- 4) Independently negotiating with borrowers;
- 5) Experience independently conducting risk analyses and making recommendations based on the risks identified.

Education is not substitutional at this grade level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
