Located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, General Ledger and Intragovernmental Transaction Division. As an Accountant (Staff), you will have responsibility for providing analysis and advice regarding the accounting programs, financial systems, business processes, and/or shared services administered by the organization.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.
Specialized experience:
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Research, interpret, create, modify, and develop accounting policies in both oral and written form to various internal and external stakeholders at various levels of management or other stakeholders;
- AND Lead or coordinate projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance or recommendations, and keeping management informed of project status and issues.
