FP2030 operates as a locally led, globally connected Support Network and works across global and country teams to advance rights‑based family planning commitments.
JOBSUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Finance & Grants serves as FP2030’s lead operational resource for grant financial management, budgeting, forecasting, financial compliance, and fiscal stewardship. The position combines advanced grants management responsibilities with hands‑on financial oversight to ensure that institutional funding is effectively administered, monitored, and reported throughout the grant lifecycle.
The Senior Manager works closely with FP2030 leadership, program teams, the United Nations Foundation’s Finance team, donors, and external partners to oversee proposal budgets, grant implementation, cash flow, financial reporting, and grant closeout. The position provides day‑to‑day financial guidance, identifies and addresses financial and compliance risks, and supports informed decision‑making by translating complex financial information into clear and actionable recommendations.
This is a hybrid position based out of FP2030’s Washington, D.C. office and is a one‑year term role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Planning and Analysis- Lead the development of FP2030’s annual operating budget and project‑ and funder‑specific budgets in partnership with leadership, budget holders, and the United Nations Foundation’s Finance team
- Prepare rolling forecasts, cash‑flow and cash‑on‑hand projections, scenario analyses, and financial models to support resource allocation and organizational decision‑making
- Analyze revenue, expenditures, commitments, and budget‑to‑actual variances; identify emerging financial risks and recommend timely corrective action
- Develop financial analyses and proposal budgets for new funding opportunities, renewals, and changes in organizational priorities
- Monitor organizational and grant spending to ensure that expenditures align with approved budgets, donor restrictions, funding periods, and operational priorities
