As an Accounting Manager
, you will manage the month-end close process and work as a consultant with Finance Within clients. You will help assemble a monthly financial packet and present financial statements to clients.

Successful candidates have a strong experience in QBO and Xero. Ideal candidates are also advanced in Excel and have a strong business acumen.

This role is solutions-oriented and requires proactive engagement to ensure client success.

• Oversee month-end closing and all key accounting-related activities for clients - accurate and timely circulation of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets

• Cash Flow projection (and updates) and communicating cash position to clients

• Financial Package Creation:
  Ensuring proper margin recognition, Reconciling/Recording transactions (Sales, Deferrals, Accruals, Returns, Discounts, Write-offs), Monitoring Sales Orders (wholesale), etc.

• Inventory Management including:
  Good understanding of Inventory, Reconciling inventory (Physical, Sub to GL), Accruals, Samples, Inventory adjustments, Obsolescence, Monitor POs, etc.

• Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements

• Reconciliation of other payment accounts (e.g. Pay Pal, Stripe, etc)

• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and thorough understanding of amortization schedules

• Manage Accounts Receivable and Payables

• Manage AR aging reports for clients

• Manage AP in  (or related software) for clients

• Payroll management for clients

• Work with Finance Within management to support the team

• Support as a consultant to clients on accounting related work

• General ledger accountability, financial analysis, financial reporting, and special reports, financial profitability analysis, other special projects as assigned

• 6+ years of experience in full cycle accounting

• 2+ years of experience in a multi-client or consulting role

• Advanced in QBO and Xero

Experience with e-commerce is a big plus (Shopify, Pay Pal, ,etc)

• Firm grasp of accounting principles

• Excellent analytical and communication skills
